Pear shaped old pincushion.

This is part of my collection. The pincushion on top of the books is a stumpwork star design, made with yarn on wool. The ball next to it is worn velvet, I love worn velvet. Both are old. I love to collect old books too. If they have a nice old calico covering , even better.

My Newest Make-do

This make-do is made from an old silk shawl that had been ruined as far as it`s original use, but had some good spots left to create something. The fabric underneath is real homespun from a scrap bag I was blessed to find this summer at the flea market full of 19th century fabric scraps. It`s filled with old cotton stuffing. The base is an old oil lamp.
